In this materialistic era, packaging a product has become a trend. However, this not only have negative impact on the environment but also on the consumers as well.In my opinion , it its the responsibility of the producer to curb the wastage of resources in shape of unnecessary packaging which i will explain in the upcoming paragraphs.
At the outset , it is undeniable fact that packaging is done to allure the customers to buy the products. Moreover, producers add cost of packaging to the cost of the product which will ultimately add burden on the consumers that they have to pay for something which i not useful to them.Moving further, after consumption of the products, most of the time users thrown the waste products here and there which add stress on the environment because shimmering papers, plastic bottles are non biodegradable and harms the environment. for instance, pharmaceutical companies pack their pills and tablets in much more than needed.
Probing further, food items are usually packed in plastic bottles and are kept for long time like cold drinks; this can be cancerous for health. however, this is not concerned with the producer as he is only interested with his sales and profits. In addition, the quality of packaging material is very low. Material used is not food degradable which in turn decreases the quality of the packed product. For example, during festivals seasons, gifts are exchanged; they are packed with plastic papers which affects the ecosystem. As idealistic as it sounds, I personally believe that govt should be meticulous about the over packaging of the products and the strict and stringent actions should be taken against the companies who users large quantity of plastic to attract the customers.
In conclusion, producers should avoid over packaging and consumers should also avoid using alluring products as this may discourage the manufacturer to make those products.
